Dear ILL users,
The University Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France, is organizing for the second consecutive year, a program to attract more undergraduate students in Science, and in particular in subjects related to large scale facilities. See the attached flyer and the website: http://www.ujf-grenoble.fr/international/bachelor-summer-program/
It is a 6 weeks program, from June 3 until July 13, with a 45 hours French course and a 60 hours scientific course taught in English. Two courses are available among which "Introduction to large scale facilities: probing matter with synchrotron and neutron radiation". Most of the courses will take place as tutorials and practicals, with visits of ILL and ESRF also.
Students are welcome to participate. There are reduced tuition fees (500 €) for 2013 since this is the second year of the program. Grants are available for students wishing to do also a research project at ILL, ESRF or EMBL until the end of July.
Application deadline: 22nd of March Contact: summer-program@ujf-grenoble.fr
As an ILL user, you may be involved in large scale facility work with students around you that are potential candidates. So we would greatly appreciate if you could share this information. Do not hesitate to contact us for further information. And we hope to welcome some students here in Grenoble!
Best regards, Béatrice Grenier
