We are looking for strongly motivated PhD student with top academic qualifications and a recently earned Master�s degree in the field of molecular and cellular biology, genetics or other appropriate field. Candidates who are receiving their MSc or MD degree in near future are also welcome to apply. The applicants are expected to have knowledge in molecular and cell biology.

We offer an inspiring and supportive research environment and excellent facilities for a scientist interested in basic, translational and clinical cardiovascular research at the Biomedicum Helsinki. We are investigating the etiology of pulmonary arterial hypertension with a special focus on early pathophysiological changes of the disease. Research includes work with various animal models of the disease and basic research on endothelial and vascular biology. The starting date is negotiable. The project will be supervised by Dr. Tero-Pekka Alastalo and Docent Juha Koskenvuo.
