Senior Scientist, Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD Student positions at the Danish Cancer Society Research Centre (DCRC)
The Cell Death and Metabolism Unit at the Danish Cancer Society Research Centre (DCRC) invites applications for senior scientist, postdoctoral fellow and PhD Student positions in a dynamic, international and competitive environment. The positions are financed by a 5-year Advanced Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for the project entitled “Lysosomes as Targets for Cancer Therapy”. This research programme aims to reveal how cells maintain the integrity of lysosomal membranes and to identify drug targets and drugs that induce lysosomal membrane permeabilization specifically in cancer cells. Senior Scientist We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated PhD or equivalent with ample postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record in one or more of the following areas of research:
* Lysosomes * Lipids and Membranes * Ion Channels * Medicinal Chemistry * Cell Death Pathways
Your qualifications will be assessed by an evaluation committee consisting of an overweight of external scientists. Qualified candidates will be invited for an interview with an appointments committee composed by the Head of the Unit.
Postdoctoral Fellow We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with a recent PhD degree in natural or life sciences or equivalent and broad experience in molecular and cell biology. Expertise in cancer research or research areas listed above will be an advantage.
PhD Student We are looking for a highly motivated PhD Student with an excellent recent MSc degree in life sciences, MD degree or equivalent. The student will be enrolled in a graduate Programme on Molecular Mechanisms of Disease (MoMeD) under the Copenhagen Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences.
