Dear all,
the ChemBio fair will be organized next spring, March 20-21, 2013 in Helsinki. The event is the biggest meeting place for chemistry and biotech professionals in Finland, consisting of interesting seminars as well as a trade fair. http://web.finnexpo.fi/Sites3/ChemBio/en/Pages/default.aspx
This time there will be a business idea contest for students held in connection with the ChemBio fair. The contest seeks for business ideas based on innovations in the field of chemistry and biotechnology. Teams of students (max 6 persons in a team) in the bio and chemistry fields from all Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences, as well as doctoral students in the field, are eligible to participate.
The prize of the competition is 1000 euros and it will be awarded at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre on 20 March 2013 at the ChemBio Finland fair in conjunction with the Save The World seminar.
Note: The business ideas must be connected to the themes of the Save The World seminar, these themes being medical applications, new materials and alternative energy sources

The Working Life and Business Skills for PhDs project can support the participating teams in e.g. formulating the business idea and coaching the presentation.
The deadline for team registration is on December 15th, 2012 and the business idea material has to be submitted to the evaluation panel by February 28th, 2013.
