Hei!

Kuten olette varmasti huomanneet koronavirus (COVID-19) on levinnyt Oulun alueelle ja näin vaikuttaa myös yliopistomme arkeen. Aluehallintovirastojen 13.3.2020 tekemän päätöksen mukaan kaikki yli 500 henkilön tapahtumat kielletään Manner-Suomessa. Myös Suomen hallituksen suosituksen mukaan pienempien tapahtumien kohdalla päätökset tulee tehdä riskiarvioiden pohjalta. OLuT ry on valmistautumassa perumaan/siirtämään kevään tapahtumia kyseisen tilanteen takia. Seuraamme tilanteen kehitystä ja reagoimme sen mukaisesti. Tulemme antamaan lisätietoa tämän viikon aikana kevään tapahtumiin liittyen.

OLuT ry ottaa tilanteen vakavasti ja kehottaa seuraamaan yliopiston, OYY:n ja THL:n suosituksia ja ohjeistuksia. Haluamme myös muistuttaa kaikkia heidän henkilökohtaisesta vastuustansa taudin leviämisen ehkäisyssä. Muista hyvä käsihygienia. Älä koskettele silmiä, nenää tai suuta, ellet ole juuri pessyt käsiäsi. Julkisilla paikoilla pidä vähintään metrin etäisyys muihin erityisesti, jos joku aivastaa. Älä poistu kotoasi, jos olet flunssainen tai sinulla on hengitystieinfektio-oireita. Mikäli epäilet saaneesi tartunnan ja sinulla on oireita, pysy kotona, jos oireesi ovat lieviä. Jos oireesi vaativat hoitoa ole yhteydessä Oulun seudun yhteispäivystyksen neuvontanumeroon 08 315 2655.

Hello,

As you must have already noticed the coronavirus (COVID-19) has made its way to Oulu area and will affect our lives at the university. The Regional State Administrative Agencies have banned all social gatherings of over 500 people from 13.3.2020 onwards. Also, the Finnish Government has given a guideline to assess the risk of all the smaller events. OLuT ry is getting ready to move and/or cancel our spring events due to the current situation. We are actively following the development of the situation and do our best to react accordingly. We will be giving more information regarding our spring events during this week.

OLuT ry takes the situation very seriously and urges everyone to follow the guidance of the university, OYY and the National Institute for Health and Welfare. We also want to remind everyone of their responsibility to slow down the spread of the virus. Remember to wash your hands. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if you have not washed your hands recently. Keep at least 1-meter distance from people in public areas especially if someone sneezes. Do not leave your home if you appear to be affected by the common cold or have the symptoms of a respiratory infection. If you suspect that you have been infected by the coronavirus stay home if you have mild symptoms. If your overall condition gets worse, call Oulu University Hospital’s health guidance helpline on 08 315 2655.
