MSc Thesis position in Enzymology at the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT): We are looking for a motivated bioscientist to conduct his/her MSc Thesis work within the EU-DISCO project (led by Prof. Kristiina Kruus) related to enzymatic conversion of biomass based sugars. The work involves the enzymatic chraracterization and subcloning of novel hemicellulase enzymes and will be conducted at the VTT Biotechnology unit in Otaniemi (http://www.vtt.fi/service/bio/). Background in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology or in related biosciences field is required. Specific experience in subcloning (recombinant DNA techniques), working with E. coli, or in enzymatic assays would be a plus.
