Docent Li Tian's lab is looking for a highly motivated early Postdoc/PhD student with background in immunology or neurobiology to join in 2014. Candidates with extra trainings in bioinformatics are preferred. The group is located in the University of Helsinki, Finland and is funded by the Academy of Finland. We focus on neuroimmune interaction and its role in controlling immune responses in the brain as well as in the periphery. The current project aims at addressing microglial activation in neuropsychiatric animal models. The position can be filled immediately based on negotiation in 2014, and salary (not grant) will be paid according to the University UPJ system.

The candidate should be fluent in English and is expected to be familiar with laboratory techniques, such as qPCR, microarrays, primary cell culture, cell imaging, cloning, flow cytometry, or immunohistochemistry. PhD students holding the scholarship from CSC are welcome anytime.
