Mutta mikä ihmeen kyykkä? Pelissä on tarkoituksena poistaa kyykkämailoja eli karttuja käyttäen kyykät pelineliöstä mahdollisimman vähillä heitoilla. Fuksikyykässä pelataan joukkuekyykkää, eli heitetään neljän hengen joukkueissa ja kilpaillaan fuksien mestaruudesta humanistipäädyn parkkipaikoilla. Joukkueen voi helposti muodostaa vasta paikan päälläkin lyöttäytymällä toisten joukkueeseen tai mahdollisesti kasata oma kokonaisuus muista joukkueettomista paikalle saapujista ensikertalaisia varten pidettävän kyykkäintron jälkeen. Ensikertalaisia varten alussa siis pidetään noin 45 min intro, jossa käydään läpi sääntöjä, heittotekniikkaa ja harjoitellaan hieman, minkä jälkeen aloitetaan varsinainen turnaus. Paras joukkue palkitaan ilmaisella joukkuepaikalla World Cup of Kyykkään eli WCOKiin 19.2.!

So open your calendar, grab your pen and mark Sunday 13th February 2022 at 10:00 am reserved for the freshman kyykkä organized by OAMK ry
But what the heck kyykkä? The object of the game is to remove small wooden pieces from the playing square with as few throws as possible using bigger wooden bats. Team kyykkä is the format for freashman kyykkä, ie thrown in teams of four and competing for the championship of freshmen. The games are played on the northwestern parking lots of the campus. It is easy to form a team even on the spot by joining others' teams or possibly assembling your own team of other teamless players. For first-timers, therefore, there will be an intro of about 45 minutes at the beginning, where you will go through the rules, throwing technique and practice a bit, after which the actual tournament will start. The best team will be rewarded with a free team spot in the World Cup of Kyykkä (WCOK) on February 19th!
Dress code: overalls / warm clothing / both
PROTIP: An experienced student who has learned through the hard way recommends option 2 or 3
as well as something warm to drink
