Tissue Regeneration Laboratory, Department of Surgery, University of Tampere, invites applications for DOCTORAL STUDENT POSITIONS in experimental surgery.

The Doctoral Student will be a part of the Tissue Regeneration Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Tero J�rvinen. The assignments will start during 2012 (start date is flexible � early start preferred).

We are seeking highly motivated scientists to join our young, dynamic research group. Our focus is on the repair process of injured tissue with the special emphasis on scarless wound healing and revascularization (angiogenesis) of injured tissue. Candidates should be enthusiastic, creative and work well within a group. Candidates should have a relevant degree in life sciences and a strong background in cell and molecular biology. The familiarity in cell biology and cell culture is an advantage. Prior experience in animal experiments (surgical) is favored but not necessary. The successful applicants will be responsible for advancing the potent anti-scarring agent towards possible clinical trials.
