5 open PhD student positions, Viruses, Immune Stimulation and RNA Interference in Oncology - Network (VIRION)
The Viruses, Immune stimulation and RNA Interference in Oncology - Network (VIRION) consortium is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie European Industrial Doctorate (EID)-Initial Training Network (ITN) within the EU Horizon2020 programme, aiming to train five Early Stage Researchers (ESR) within a collaborative academic and commercial research network. Partners in the VIRION network are the VU University medical center (VUmc) and ORCA Therapeutics, both located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and TILT Biotherapeutics, located in Helsinki, Finland. Each of the ESRs participating in the VIRION ITN-EID network will be hosted by one of these three partners and will be seconded for a certain period of time to other partners so that he or she will have experience with research in both an academic and commercial setting. All five ESRs will finalize their training by defending a thesis in order to obtain a PhD degree from the VU University in Amsterdam.To be eligible to apply you must meet the Marie Sklodowska-Curie requirements for ESRs; over the last three years you did not reside, study or work for more than 12 months in Finland or The Netherlands.
