Call for applications, Scholarships for International Master's Students

University of Oulu Scholarship Foundation invites applications for 20 scholarships of EUR 1 000 for international degree seeking students.

Requirements are; Applicant should be registered as a degree seeking student (Master) at the University of Oulu. Applicant should have studied at the University of Oulu for a minimum of two (2) academic semesters and registered as a present (attendance) for the academic year. Please notice that the applicants, who have enrolled for autumn semester 2009, are also eligible to apply the scholarship. Applicant can not be a Finnish citizen or a student who is eligible for student financial aid from the state of Finland (KELA).

Required attachments are; Transcript of Records, Personal Study Plan, an academic reference from a staff member of University of Oulu (in a closed envelope).

Selection criteria for scholarships are mainly the applicant's academic success and the progress of studies. Also an academic personnel's statement of student (reference form) will be taken into account.

An application form can be found at http://www.oulu.fi/tukisaatio/index.html and it should be submitted by May 10th 2010 (4.15pm). The application has to be submitted with all the required attachments. Application and all the required attachments have to arrive by the deadline as late applications are not considered.

This scholarship can be awarded only once during the student's studies. Students awarded the scholarship will be notified personally.
