We are a part of a consortium that aims at characterizing the environment shared by acute myeloid leukemia and osteoblasts. We will use cell cultures, animal models and cells isolated from AML patients to understand how AML works and how it could be treated by targeting its environment.
The project is funded by the Academy of Finland and the position is maximally for four years starting at earliest 01.03.2020.
Job description
Our group will analyse the environment shared by acute myeloid leukemia and osteoblasts by using highly sophisticated mass spectrometry-based proteomics. We are also interested in changes in posttranslational modifications of the extracellular proteins.
What we are expecting from you
We are looking for a candidate with M.Sc. degree, molecular and cell biology background and interest for mass spectrometry-based proteomics, bioinformatics and statistics. Earlier experience with proteomics and bioinformatics is an advantage.
Excellent knowledge in English, both written and oral, is a must. Also an official certificate about the proven English skills is needed (according to the official rules of the University of Turku). There will be a six-month trial period in the contract.
