DWA-välinehuolto: vain yksi palvelupiste BMTK - Single Service Unit FBMM

Information first in Finnish and then in English Hei Pääsiäisen jälkeen 2.4.2024 alkaen Kontinkankaan välinehuolto palvelee ainoastaan BMTK:n välinehuoltotiloissa. Tämä palvelukonsepti on voimassa toistaiseksi. Kiepin välinehuoltopistettä käyttäville tiedoksi, että tiskit pitää kuljettaa itse BMTK:n välinehuoltoon huoneeseen F025 ja takaisin. Autoklaavi on huoneessa F043A, jonne viedään autoklavoitavat tavarat. Autoklavoitavat jätteet viedään huoneeseen F037B. Täältä löytyvät myös puhtaat jäteastiat ja jätepussit. Autoklavoinnin aikataulut: Nesteet klo 10:00, viimeinen kuivatuotteiden klaavaus klo 13:00. BSL2 jätteet (RV group ja virus) steriloidaan edelleen Kiepin DWA-yksikössä. Mikäli olet tuomassa BSL2 jätettä joko tiistaina tai torstaina autoklavoitavaksi, ilmoita siitä edellisenä päivänä viimeistään klo 14 sähköpostilla DWA-valinehuolto(a)oulu.fi<mailto:DWA-valinehuolto@oulu.fi> . Koska Välinehuollon tilat ovat rajalliset, niin Aapistie 5 alueen laboratorioista tiskit viedään BMTK:n puolelle viestin lopussa olevan suunnitelman mukaan tiettyinä viikonpäivinä. Pääsääntöisesti tiskit ovat haettavissa takaisin laboratorioihin seuraavana työpäivänä. Hae puhtaat tiskit viimeistään kahden päivän kuluttua. This service concept will remain effective until further notice. For users of the Kieppi DWA-unit, please note that you must transport the instruments to and from the FBMM DWA-unit room F025 yourself. The autoclave is in room F043A, where autoclavable items should be taken. Autoclaved waste should be disposed of in room F037B. Clean waste bins and bags are also available here. Autoclaving schedules: Liquid items at 10:00 AM, final autoclaving of dry items at 1:00 PM. BSL2 waste (RV group and virus) will continue to be sterilized at the Kieppi DWA unit. If you intend to bring BSL2 waste for autoclaving on either Tuesday or Thursday, please notify us by 2:00 PM the previous day via email at DWA-valinehuolto(a)oulu.fi<mailto:DWA-valinehuolto@oulu.fi> As the space in DWA - unit is limited, dishes from laboratories in the Aapistie 5 area will be transported to the FBMM side according to the following plan on specific weekdays. Generally, clean dishes will be available for pickup back to the laboratories the next working day. Please collect the clean dishes within two days at the latest. COLD ROOM problems 4th floor kieppi

DWA -välinehuolto: It is important to rinse the dishes

Dear All This week, the issue of dish rinsing has arisen! Dishes from multiple labs have been brought into the DWA-Kieppi Unit without being rinsed. Rinsing is the crucial preparatory step before labware items are transported to the DWA unit. The DWA personnel cannot determine whether the sticky or hazy material on the beakers is hazardous simply by looking at them. The DWA unit is only allowed to handle non-hazardous labware. Hi all, Due to the backup freezer needing the power outlet the other devices in the lobby are not plugged in at the moment. I will try to figure out a temporary place for them in the meantime. Sorry for any inconvenience but the freezer takes priority. BRs, Antti
