DWA-välinehuolto: autoclaving of biological waste moves to Kieppi because of malfunctioning airconditioning system in the autoclave room.

Dear all Unfortunately from today, June 14th we have to start autoclaving all biological waste in Kieppi. Please, carry all your biological waste for disposal in Kieppi DWA unit room 237B. You will find clean autoclave bins in room 239B. There will be more guidance given next week. The waste autoclave in FBMM site cannot be used because of a broken air-cooling system in the waste autoclave room F037B. The room temperature rises above 32 degrees which means that the autoclave cannot be used. SYK has plans to repair the air conditioning machine, but the schedule is not known yet. The dish washing and clean item autoclaving remains in FBMM DWA unit. The is NO washing service in Kieppi. BR virpi ............................................................................. DWA-välinehuolto: No DWA service in next two weeks - Ei välinehuoltoa seuraavan kahden viikon aikana

Hei kaikki valitettavasti joudun ilmoittamaan, että Kontinkankaan kampuksen välinehuoltopalvelut ovat suljettuna seuraavan kahden viikon ajan. 1.- 14.7. 2024 Lomien ja sairauslomien takia meillä ei ole henkilökuntaa paikalla ko. aikana. Pyydän nyt kaikkia huomioimaan, että Älkää tuoko astioita välinehuollon tiloihin sulun aikana, etteivät tilat täyty likaisista astioista. Nyt jos koskaan astioiden kunnollinen huuhtominen on tarpeen, ettei palvelun käynnistyttyä likaisia astioita tarvitse liottaa päivä tolkulla reagenssijäämien takia. Maanantaina ja tiistaina 1.-2.7. pyrin palauttamaan nyt välinehuollossa olevat puhtaat astiat ryhmäkohtaisiin laatikoihin. Mikäli teillä tulee akuuttia tarvetta steriloinnille, niin olkaa yhteydessä minuun. Yritän ratkaista ongelmia parhaalla tavalla 12.7. saakka. terveisin virpi Hello everyone, Unfortunately, I have to inform you that the DWA services at the Kontinkangas campus will be closed for the next two weeks. 1st - 14th July 2024 Due to vacations and sick leaves, we will not have staff available during this time. I now ask everyone to note that you should not bring dishes to the DWA facilities during the closure to avoid filling the space with dirty dishes. Proper rinsing of the dishes is necessary now more than ever, so that dirty dishes do not have to be soaked for days due to residue when the service resumes. On Monday and Tuesday, July 1-2, I will attempt to return the clean dishes currently in DWA unit to group-specific boxes. If you have an urgent need for sterilization, please contact me.
