Tiedoksi Hyvä dekaani, yksikön johtaja, ostolaskun hyväksyjä ja yksikön controller, Yliopisto on tehnyt ostolaskujen tarkastuksia osana normaalia toiminnantarkastusta. Tarkastuksessa on havaittu, että yksikössänne voi olla ns. ohiostoja koskien laboratoriotarvikkeita ja kemikaaleja. Esimerkiksi VWR International OY:ltä on yksikkönne ostoja ajalta 1.5.2024-25.9.2024 huomattava määrä. Kyseinen yhtiö ei ole yliopiston sopimustoimittaja. Yliopistoa julkisena toimijana velvoittaa laki julkisista hankinnoista ja käyttöoikeussopimuksista 1397/2016. Lain mukaan toimittaessa kaikissa yliopiston ostoissa tulee käyttää sopimustoimittajia. Ohiostoja ei siis saa tehdä missään yliopiston yksikössä. Näiden syiden vuoksi selvitämme asiaa toiminnan tarkastuksen yhteydessä. Tämä tarkastuksen havainto edellyttää yksiköltänne seuraavia toimenpiteitä: 1) selvitätte ns. ohiostojen osuuden liitteenä olevista ostoista yksikkönne kohdalta ja 2) joka tapauksessa yksikössänne käydään läpi ja sovitaan toimenpiteet ohiostojen välttämiseksi. Dear All, We invite everyone (researchers, technicians, caretakers) involved in biomedical research with animal models and cell culture-based novel approaches to hear top level presentations by international and national experts on implementing 3R principles in practice. We have prepared two workshops and more than 10 talks by top experts in the field for the three-day event. This is also a good opportunity to present your own research either by poster or short oral talk. What are exploratory and confirmatory studies, and why is it important to be able to tell the difference? - Otto Kalliokoski (University of Copenhagen, Denmark) In this workshop, we will together look at why formulating a clear hypothesis matters. What happens if we get things wrong? We will use some real-life examples to look at the fundamental differences between exploratory and confirmatory studies. What is the nature of the study you are planning currently? Through some light group discussion, I hope to highlight that the devil really is in the details. You may even look at published studies somewhat differently afterwards. During this three-hour session, we will talk about how we formulate a hypothesis (which is a lot harder than many researchers think!). We will also briefly talk about future trends. How can we do things better? How do we go about pre-registering a study? What are registered reports? The workshop has no pre-requisites, but it will primarily benefit those who work with – or aim to work with – creating their own studies. Sosiaali- ja terveysministeriö järjestää 26.11. webinaarin toisiolain korjaamisesta sosiaali- ja terveysministeriö 25.10.2024 11.22 Uutinen Sosiaali- ja terveysministeriö käynnisti kesällä 2024 hankkeen, jossa valmistellaan hallituksen esitys toisiolain korjaamiseksi. Hankkeen tueksi on asetettu työryhmä, joka keskittyy toisiolain korjaamisen lisäksi tutkimuslainsäädännön selkiyttämiseen. Webinaarissa kerrotaan työryhmän syksyn työskentelystä ja hallituksen esityksen valmistelun aikataulusta. Webinaari järjestetään 26.11.2024 klo 9-11. Tilaisuus on tarkoitettu kaikille alalla toimiville, kuten tutkijoille, tutkimusorganisaatioille, viranomaistahoille ja rekisterinpitäjille sekä muille aiheesta kiinnostuneille.
