This hands-on course covers the analysis of RNA-seq data and microarray data. The free and user-friendly Chipster software is used in the exercises, so no previous knowledge of Unix or R is required, and the course is thus suitable for everybody. Trainers: Eija Korpelainen and Maria Lehtivaara, CSC. 6.5.2015 RNA-seq data analysis 9:30 AM to 17 PM This hands-on tutorial covers the main steps in RNA-seq data analysis, including quality control (FastQC and PRINSEQ), alignment (TopHat) and quantification (HTSeq) as well as differential expression analysis (edgeR and DESeq) and genome browser visualization. 7.5.2015 Microarray data analysis 9 AM to 14 PM This hands-on tutorial covers the analysis of Affymetrix data from quality control and normalization to statistical testing, annotation and pathway analysis.
