[OLuT-tiedotus] Kuivammaan risteily-excursio

In English below Heissan! Tänä syksynä on tiedossa uuden uutukainen OLuT:n excu, Kuivammaan risteily-excursio! Kyseessä on päivän reissu Tornioon ja vähän Haaparantaan. Aamulla lähdetään 8 aikoihin Tornioon ja takaisin saavutaan joskus ilta 8 aikoihin. Matkaan lähdetään yhdellä bussilla. Mitä siis tapahtuu? Paikan päällä käydään 1 1/2 tunnin kierroksella Tornion panimolla, jossa voi 20 euron hintaan ottaa osaa olut maisteluun. Sen lisäksi käydään siinä vieressä Duudsonit Activy Parkissa. Lounasta nautitaan kyseisten paikkojen läheisyydessa ravintola Pajassa. Kaiken tämän jälkeen voidaan siirtyä rajan toiselle puolelle ostoksille. Mitä tämä kaiken kaikkiaan maksaa? Aivan kuten edellä mainittiin, 20 eurolla voi osallistua panimokierroksen olut maisteluun. Kyseinen hinta sisältää 4 olutta. Kierros muuten on ilmainen. Activy Parkkiin lippu maksaa 10 euroa ja bussit 15 euroa. Lounas on 9,90 ja se maksetaan erikseen paikan päällä. Toisin sanoen, jos otat osaa olut maisteluun maksaa reissu ennakkoon 45 euroa ja tavallisella panimokierroksella 25 euroa. Jos bussi tulee täyteen, saatamme arvioida bussin hinnan uudelleen. After that the buss takes us to Haaparanta where we can shop. How many euros is it? The tour at the Tornio Brewery is free, but the beer tasting costs 20 euros an it includes 4 beers. The activity park costs 10 euros, the buss 15 and the lunch is 9,90. Everything else but the lunch is paid advance. When can you sign up for? Hei! OLuT:n hallitus piti 14. kokouksensa tiistaina 17.10. Kokouksessa keskusteltiin mm. seuraavista asioista: Harri Kiviniitty on jättänyt eroanomuksen OLuT ry:n hallituksesta ja pyytänyt sen sijaan, että hänet nimitettäisiin toimihenkilöksi alumnivastaavan tehtäviin. Hyväksyttiin eroanomus ja nimitettiin Harri Kiviniitty alumnivastaavaksi. Jouluristeilyilmoittautuminen sujui hyvin, vaikka ilmoittautumisten vastaanotossa olisi voinut olla useampi tietokone. Bussijaosta on myös tullut palautetta, eikä hyttijakoa välttämättä haluttaisi ottaa huomioon bussijaossa. Palautteesta keskusteltiin ja se otetaan huomioon ensi vuonna. Tapahtumat: - Fuksisitsit pidetään 25.10 Teekkaritalolla. Ilmoittautuminen täyttyi heti. Within this overall aim, the objectives of this project are to elucidate structure-function relationships for poorly characterized basement membrane proteins, in particular perlecan. Prior studies within the group have generated over-lapping domain constructs of perlecan and produced them in a natively folded state in E.coli. The position is supervised by Prof Lloyd Ruddock and is focused on structural biology of basement membrane proteins. Requirements To successfully occupy the position of a doctoral student, the candidate must possess a Master's degree or an equivalent degree (e.g. licentiate) preferably in biochemistry or biophysics. The degree must have been completed with good grades by 31.12.2017 (or latest before the job contract starts). Experience in protein production, characterization and/or structural biology is required and work on disulfide bond containing proteins would be a bonus. The ability to pursue independent research and excellent writing and fluency in English is expected. The doctoral student position is intended for an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) who, according to the "European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers", is defined as a researcher in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of his/her research activity, including the period of research training. This will help us to identify molecular targets to prevent vascular diseases in experimental models and for the future development of novel therapies. Requirements To successfully occupy the position of a doctoral student, the candidate must possess a Master's degree or an equivalent degree (e.g. licentiate) preferably in the field of cell biology, genetics, physiology or biochemistry. Degree must have been completed by 31.12.2017 (or latest before the job contract starts). The successful applicant is expected to have experience in animal models, microcopy, has good knowledge in cell and molecular biology, and has made rapid progress in his/her graduate studies with high grades. Ability to pursue independent research and excellent writing and fluency in English is expected. The process is directed by cell-cell and tissue interactions mediated by the associated signals exchanged by the cells. The key signals mediating induction of nephrogenesis are the Wnts. We are currently focusing on complex signals carried by the extracellular vesicles (EVs) in kidney tubule induction, targeting their roles, molecular signature, value in diagnostic and use of microfluidic applications. Main skills desired from successful candidate include molecular cloning, RNA Seq., mammalian cell/ organoid/ issue/ organ culture, image and molecular functional analysis. Experience with EV isolation and characterization, and/ or primary kidney cells isolation and culture preferred. The position is supervised by Prof Seppo Vainio and the post-doctoral scientists in the laboratory. Requirements To successfully occupy the position of a doctoral student, the candidate must possess a Master's degree or an equivalent degree (e.g. licentiate) preferably in biochemistry, biology, or biotechnology. Degree must have been completed with good grades by 31.12.2017 (or latest before the job contract starts). Ability to pursue independent research and excellent writing and fluency in English is expected. The doctoral student position is intended for an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) who, according to the" European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers", is defined as a researcher in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of his/her research activity, including the period of research training. Applicants will be either starting their doctoral training, or will have completed no more than two full years of training (adjusted for possible previous part-time status) at the time the position is filled. The selected candidate will carry out his/her doctoral studies in the Health and Biosciences Doctoral Programme of the University of Oulu Graduate School (UniOGS) and must meet the minimal requirements to receive doctoral study rights as defined in http://www.oulu.fi/uniogs/requirements_for_admission. Salary The salary of the selected doctoral student will be set on levels 2 - 4 of the national salary scale for the teaching and research staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a supplementary remuneration will be given for personal achievement and performance (max. 46.3%).
