PhD/Graduate STUDENT POSITION IN ANGIOGENESIS SIGNALING RESEARCH
A Ph/Graduate student position is available in the Molecular/Cancer Biology Program, Biomedicum Helsinki, University of Helsinki in a project lead by Docent Pipsa Saharinen.
The project is focused on the analysis of Angiopoietin growth factor activated Tie receptor tyrosine kinase signaling, essential for both developmental and pathological angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis. Research combines e.g. extensive proteomic analyses with imaging of retro- and lentivirus modified endothelial cells and ex vivo tissue culture models with direct connections to in vivo mouse models. The project is funded in part by the Academy of Finland. Position is available immediately, and the start time is negotiable.
