With us you will be responsible for We are looking for a computational biologist for eukaryotic micro-organisms. The position includes processing of systems biology, genomics and metabolomics data with bioinformatics methods, and creation of mathematical models from systems-wide data. We expect you to develop VTT's competence in computational biology connected to microbial production processes. You should have basic skills in coding with R, Python and Matlab. Experience in Next Generation Sequencing data handling is a plus.

The position offers an opportunity to gain experience and excel in the areas of systems biology and synthetic biology as well as work together with an international group of researchers from two Academy of Finland Centres of Excellence: White Biotechnology - Green Chemistry (2008-2013) and Molecular Engineering of Biosynthetic Hybrid Materials Research (2014-2019).
