Lääketieteellisen tiedekunnan opetuksissa opettajat, opiskelijat ja potilaat käyttävät maskia lähiopetuksissa silloin, kun potilas on läsnä opetustilanteissa. Turvaväleistä tulee huolehtia myös opetustilanteiden välillä esimerkiksi ruokailutilanteissa ja paikasta toiseen liikkuessa, ja käyttää silloinkin maskia, mikäli turvaetäisyyksien pitäminen ei onnistu. Tiedekunnan tiloissa työskenneltäessä on huolehdittava turvaväleistä. Erityistä huomiota on kiinnitettävä, että nämä turvallisuuteen liittyvät asiat otetaan huomioon ja toteutuvat myös taukotiloissa ja kahvihuoneissa. Korostan henkilökohtaisen vastuun merkitystä suojautumisessa myös vapaa-ajalla. In the teaching of the Faculty of Medicine, teachers, students and patients use the face mask in contact teaching when the patient is present in teaching situations. Safety distances must also be taken care of between teaching situations, for example in dining situations and when moving from one place to another, and even then a face mask must be used if it is not possible to maintain safety distances. Safety distances must also be taken into account when working in the Faculty of Medicine premises. Particular attention must be paid to ensuring that these safety issues are taken into account and implemented in break and coffee rooms. I emphasize the importance of personal responsibility in safety issues also in leisure time. Join the Yellow Research online-training First European Research Council (ERC) calls of the new programming period can open only after the expected adoption of the 2021-2027 EU budget and of the Horizon Europe regulation. This means that all mono-beneficiary ERC calls (Starting, Consolidator, Advanced Grants, PoC) are postponed and expected to be launched only in January 2021. See tentative call dates below. To provide preliminary information and help researchers start preparing their proposals for the first ERC calls under Horizon Europe, Research and Project Services is organising ERC Call 2021 Online-Training with Yellow Research. The online training will include two live webinars with Yellow Research expert Lotte Jaspers. In addition, the registered participants will have access to video tutorials and online materials supporting the proposal preparation. 15.10.2020 9:30-12:00 Webinar 1 will focus on creating the right mindset for submitting an ERC grant. What is it that the panels expect? How to strategically approach the design of the project? There have already been some test users (thank you!) and very soon the system will be open for all, and use of other reservation systems will be closed. The BCO core facilities using iLab are: Biocenter Oulu Sequencing Center, Proteomics and protein analysis, Structural Biology, Tissue Imaging Center: EM and light microscopy, Transgenic and tissue phenotyping. We will give a summary how to start using iLab in a zoom meeting organized on Wednesday 28th at 10-11.00 (see link in the bottom). I warmly welcome Principal Investigators, since they have a role in getting their lab members accepted and their funding projects assigned now in the starting phase. Dear all, it's my pleasure to invite you to the first event we at the THEmeshwork have organised! For those who don´t know, THEmeshwork is a free online community born on Slack by ECRs across the world (I’m one of them) to create opportunities for scientific divulgation, direct peer interactions on protocols etc., scientific meetings and career development events. Our topics are mostly tailored towards extracellular matrix, tissue microenvironment in health and disease, cell adhesion et similia but we are open to all members. All events are FREE and ONLINE. The first scientific meeting is on the 22nd of October, 17:00 to 18:00 Finnish time.
