MRC Oulu offers a multidisciplinary research environment for clinical, translational and health care socioeconomic research, and promotes high level clinical research and internationalization of the research in the field of medical sciences. Description of the position Open postdoctoral positions are available in MRC Oulu for 2021. The duration of the fixed-term positions vary between 3-6 months, up to a maximum cumulative total of 2 person years. The starting date will be at the earliest in January 2021. The applications will be evaluated by an external evaluation panel based on the qualifications of the applicant. Selection will be based on the external evaluation and an overall assessment by the governing board of MRC Oulu. The results of the call will be announced at the earliest in December 2020. Required qualifications and assessment The successful candidate must hold a PhD degree in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Biomedicine, Health Sciences or Medical Technology or other related field. Priority will be given to applicants who are members of a MRC Oulu research group. Docents or docent-level applicants and applicants receiving funding from another Focus Institute (i.e. Biocenter Oulu, Infotech, Thule and Eudaimonia) of the University of Oulu will not be considered. Fluency in both written and spoken English, as well as good communication and teamwork skills are required. Demonstrated experience in writing scientific publications, potential in acquiring supplementary funding and teaching experience will be taken as merits. When assessing the applicant's qualifications, issues to be considered will include scientific publications, supervision experience, activity in the scientific community and familiarity with the research field. Salary The successful candidate will be employed at the University of Oulu. The salary will be based on level 5 of the demand level chart for university-level teaching and research staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). Application Procedure Applications, together with all relevant enclosures, must be submitted using the electronic application system by 9 October 2020 at the latest. All applicants will be notified when the selection process is completed. In the application, it should be clearly indicated whether the applicant is/is not a member of MRC Oulu (include the names of research group and the group leader). Hyvä SKFY:n jäsen, Helsingin yliopiston lääketieteellinen tiedekunta, Helsingin yliopiston lääketutkimuksen tohtoriohjelma ja Suomen Kliinisen Farmakologian yhdistys järjestävät 16.-17.11. Kliininen lääketutkimus 2020 -kurssin, joka sopii niin tohtorikoulutettaville, tutkijoille, erikoistuville kuin muillekin kliinisistä lääketutkimuksista kiinnostuneille. Kurssi järjestetään koronavirustilanteen vuoksi kokonaan etäyhteyden välityksellä. Kurssi tarjoaa perustiedot kliinisen lääketutkimuksen suunnittelusta, eettisistä piirteistä, menetelmistä ja arvioinnista, sekä antaa perusvalmiudet toimia tutkijana tutkijalähtöisissä tai teollisuuden tekemissä kliinisissä lääketutkimuksissa. Kurssi valmistaa myös Good Clinical Practice -testiin osallistumiseen. Osallistuminen on maksuton yliopistollista perus- tai jatkotutkintoa suorittaville opiskelijoille. Julkisen sektorin ja tutkimuskeskusten edustajille (mm. yliopistot, sairaalat ja eettiset toimikunnat) hinta on 70 €. Muille kurssin hinta on 150 €. Kurssista on mahdollista saada 1,5 opintopistettä tohtorintutkintoa varten. Opintopisteiden saaminen edellyttää pienimuotoisen oppimispäiväkirjan palauttamista. Kliinisen post doc -tutkijan määräaikaisia tehtäviä MRC Oulussa vuodelle 2021 Ilmoitus jätetty: 10.9.2020 Haku päättyy: 7.10.2020 klo 14.30 Hae työpaikkaa >><https://www.kuntarekry.fi/fi/tyopaikat/kliinisen-post-doc-tutkija-maaraaika…> Tehtävän kuvaus Medical Research Center Oulussa (MRC Oulu<https://www.oulu.fi/mrc/>) on haettavana määräaikaisia (enintään 6 kk) kliinisen post doc -tutkijan tehtäviä vuodelle 2021. Jaettavana on yhteensä 130 000 euroa käytettäväksi tutkimustyöhön vuoden 2021 aikana. Haettavat paikat on suunnattu kliinikkotutkijoille. Tehtävä sisältää enintään 6 kk tutkimustyötä ja lopun ajasta hakija tekee kliinistä työtä hänen omassa kliinisessä työtehtävässään. Post doc -tutkijoiden tehtävät täytetään aikaisintaan tammikuussa 2021. Hakemukset arvioidaan PPSHP:n ja Oulun yliopiston ulkopuolisen asiantuntijapaneelin toimesta. Valinta tehdään arviointitulosten sekä MRC Oulun johtokunnan kokonaisarvion perusteella. Haun tulokset ilmoitetaan aikaisintaan joulukuussa 2020. Kelpoisuusvaatimuksena on tohtorintutkinto tai dosentuuri jollakin seuraavista aloista: lääketiede, hammaslääketiede, biolääketiede, terveystieteet tai lääketieteen tekniikka tai jokin muu vastaava ala. Tehtävään valitulla tulee olla kliininen työ OYS:ssa tai OYS-ERVA-alueen terveydenhuollon tai tutkimuslaitoksen yksikössä. Valituksi voivat tulla ainoastaan MRC Oulussa toimivat kliinikkotutkijat, joiden tutkimus tukee merkittävästi PPSHP:n tutkimusprofiilia. Lisäksi tutkijoiden toimen on oltava OYS-erva-alueella. Ensisijaisesti tehtävään haetaan omaa tutkimusryhmää perustamassa olevia tai ryhmänjohtajan alkuvaiheessa olevia kliinisiä tutkijoita. Sellaiset henkilöt, joiden tehtäviin kuuluu merkittävässä määrin tutkimustyötä (mm. kliiniset opettajat ja professorit) eivät voi tulla valituksi tehtävään MRC Oulun johtokunnan päätöksen perusteella. Tehtävän menestyksellinen hoitaminen edellyttää sujuvaa englannin kielen taitoa sekä hyviä kommunikointi- ja yhteistyötaitoja. Tehtävää haetaan sähköisen järjestelmän kautta. Hakulomakkeen tulee sisältää seuraavat pdf-muodossa olevat liitteet 1-3, jotka tulee lähettää sähköpostitse osoitteeseen katja.riipinen[at]oulu.fi. Hakulomakkeesta tulee selkeästi käydä ilmi, kuuluuko hakija MRC Ouluun (tutkimusryhmä ja tutkimusryhmän johtaja). 1) Ansioluettelo (enintään kolme sivua) 2) Julkaisuluettelo 3) Tutkimussuunnitelma (enintään kaksi sivua). Tutkimussuunnitelman tulee olla otsikoitu tutkimusta kuvaavalla tavalla, ja sen tulee sisältää seuraavat osiot: a) Tutkimushankkeen tarkoitus ja tavoitteet b) Tutkimushankkeen toteutus (aineisto ja menetelmät) c) Hakijan rooli tutkimushankkeessa d) Tutkimushankkeen eettiset näkökulmat e) Rahoituksen käyttösuunnitelma (summa, joka kattaa hakijan palkan, kaikki palkan sivukulut sekä kuinka monelle kuukaudelle rahoitusta haetaan) f) Lähteet (eivät sisälly sivumäärään) Rahoituksen saanut PPSHP:n henkilökuntaan kuuluva tutkija voi toimia kokopäiväisenä tai osa-aikaisena tutkijana vapautettuna omasta tehtävästään. Tutkija on palvelussuhteessa PPSHP:iin eikä virkavapautta erikseen anota, jolloin loma-, eläke- ym. edut säilyvät. Tutkija voi halutessaan päivystää OYS-ervalla tutkijakausien aikana. Päivystysajan palkka on henkilön oma varsinainen palkka kaikkine palkkatekijöineen. Tätä varten tulosalueella tehdään tutkijajakson rinnalle lyhytaikainen palvelujakso päivystyksen ajalle. Tutkimusvapaan ajankohdasta tulee sopia erikseen yksikön esimiehen kanssa. PPSHP:n ulkopuolisille tutkijoille tehdään työsopimus PPSHP:n kanssa. Osa-aikaisuusjärjestelyillä voidaan huolehtia siitä, että palvelusuhde omaan organisaatioon säilyy katkeamattomana. Pohjois-Pohjanmaan sairaanhoitopiirissä VTR-tutkijoina toimivien lääkärien palkka on määritelty henkilöasiain käsikirjan kohdassa Palkkaus II.1.9. (Tutkimushenkilöstön palkkaus PPSHP:ssä<https://www.ppshp.fi/dokumentit/Kehitys%20ja%20tutkimus%20sislttyyppi/VTR%2…>). Muiden kuin lääkäritutkijoiden palkkauksessa noudatetaan KVTES:n ehtoja. Tutkijalle voidaan myöntää rahoitusta vain yhdestä MRC Oulun Post doc -tehtävähausta (Kliinisen post doc -tutkijan määräaikaisia tehtäviä MRC Oulussa vuodelle 2021 tai Fixed-term postdoctoral positions at MRC Oulu for 2021). Mikäli hakija hakee kummastakin, hakemuksessa tulee ilmoittaa, kumpi niistä on ensisijainen. Tarkistamme alkuperäiset tutkintotodistukset valituksi tulleilta. Käsiteltävät asiat on mainittu liitteessä. Pidämme palaverin ensin suomeksi. CRC palaveri kestää 20 minuuttia, jonka jälkeen pidetään CRC seminaari. CRC seminaari alkaa 8:50 ja kestää myös 20 minuuttia ja sen pitää tällä kertaa lastentaudit. CRC seminaarin jälkeen pidetään CRC palaveri tarvittaessa englanniksi. Hi, We will have our next CRC meeting on Wednesday (September 30) at 8:30 am. We will first have the CRC meeting in Finnish. The CRC meeting takes 20 minutes and is followed by a CRC seminar. The CRC seminar starts at 8:50 and it also lasts for 20 minutes and is held this time by lastentaudit. After the CRC seminar, a CRC meeting will be held in English if necessary.
