Safety walk, June 9 at 2 pm

Dear BCO-Kieppi people, Please, remind new employees: We will again organize so-called "safety walks" for BCO-Kieppi people who have not yet participated in them. We will walk through our premises and locate the emergency exits, fire alarms, fire extinguishers etc, check the meeting point for emergencies, and talk about safety. Participation to this about 30 min walk is obligatory for everybody. This is organized for your own safety. The next tour: in English June 9, starting at 14.00. Starting point for the tour is top of the main staircase 4th floor, Aapistie 5A. See you there! Hei kaikki Kampuksen välinehuolto palvelee kesällä kattavasti: Koko kesän on vähintään yksi välinehuoltaja molemmissa pisteissä. Kiepissä on mahdollista pesettää solukaappien osia tällä ja ensi viikolla (vk 23 ja 24) . Viimeinen mahdollinen päivä on 18.6. Pesuista on sovittava erikseen välinehuoltajien kanssa. Kiepissä on 236B huoneen autoklaavin vieressä kalenteri, johon voi tehdä varauksia pesuista ja autoklaavauksesta, mikäli et tavoita välinehuoltajia asian sopimiseksi. Kesäaikana soluviljelykaappien osien pesut ja autoklaavaukset ainoastaan hätätapauksissa (viikot 25-31). Sovittava erikseen! 9.8. jälkeen solukaappien osien pesut ja autoklaavaukset pyörivät molemmissa toimipisteissä normaaliin tapaan tilaamalla. Kesälomia odotellessa välinehuoltoterveisin virpi Dear All The DWA services are available during the summer time in normal manner. There is always one person in charge in both of the DWA units. On the weeks 25-31 the parts of cell culture incubators are washed only in cases of emergency. Please be in contact with the DWA personnel if you need to clean the cell culture incubators. renovations in June in BCO-Kieppi that may influence your work

Dear BCO-Kieppi people, some renovations take place during June in BCO 3rd and 4th floor. May cause some disturbance to your work, so please read carefully. 1. addition of CO2 line to Room 441B, June 7, afternoon 12-16 * may cause short CO2 breaks in close-by cell culture incubators and it is recommended that they are kept closed during afternoon. Please, contact Antti Viklund if you have questions. 1. Rooms 315A and 313A, during weeks 24-25 (June 14-25), air ventilation improvement in 315A liquid nitrogen room * 315A room has to be emptied and it is not in use. * 313A freezer storage room: Renovation causes some disturbance also in the adjacent room 313A, when ventilation lines are built and connected through the wall. Should not influence the temperature or ventilation of the room 313A during renovation. Shut down of ventilation systems and hoods during night this week, maintenance

Hei kaikki, Kiepin rakennuksen ilmanvaihdon ja vetokaappien huoltotyöt tehdään öisin tällä viikolla. Koskee öitä ti25.5-26-pe27.5. Alkaen n. klo 21 ja loppuen viimeistään klo5 aamulla. Huomioikaa tämä töidenne vetokaappitarpeiden osalta, sillä ne ovat öisin pois päältä, eli ei haisevia ja myrkyllisiä aineita vetokaappeihin. Päivisin vetokaappien pitäisi toimia normaalisti. Todella lyhyt ilmoitusaika tälle, mutta toivottavasti ei aiheuta ongelmia. Kaikki eivät ole pois päältä samanaikaisesti, vaan tekevät ilmastointilinjojen mukaan. Dear all, maintenance of ventilation systems and hoods during this week at night. Starting from Tuesday 25th, until Friday morning. During days the hoods and ventilation are in operation. Works starts always at 21 and continues until 5am. So no smelly and dangerous staff to the hoods for overnight incubations. This is a very short notice, but hopefully this does not cause any problems.
