For your information The Kainuu Brigade's local defense exercise in Northern Finland will be held during week 9, on March 1 to March 5, 2021. There are also training activities on the premises of the University of Oulu, on both campuses, in Linnanmaa and Kontinkangas. During next week you might see some Defense Forces personnel on the campus. The Kontinkangas campus has activities on the 2nd floor of the Kieppi building. A reminder about the safety guidelines below! Remember to keep the distances during lunch and coffee breaks! In Kieppi 4th floor there are two coffee rooms in your use, and also the meeting room 476B is available for lunch. Use of masks is highly recommended on campuses. Yliopiston aiemmat koronalinjaukset voimassa toistaiseksi Pohjois-Pohjanmaan alueellinen koronakoordinaatioryhmä linjasi tiistaina 23.2.2021, että alueellisia koronasuosituksia jatketaan 31.3.2021 saakka. Alue on edelleen epidemian kiihtymisvaiheessa. Myös Oulun yliopiston aikaisemmat koronalinjaukset ovat voimassa toistaiseksi. Sellaiset tehtävät tai tehtävien osat, jotka voidaan suorittaa häiriintymättömästi etätyönä, suositellaan tehtäväksi etätyönä 31.5.2021 saakka. The coronavirus epidemic in Northern Ostrobothnia is at the acceleration phase. Also, the current coronavirus guidelines of the University of Oulu are valid until further notice. The remote work recommendation will continue until 31 May 2021. As a rule, courses are organized remotely until 31 May 2021. National guidelines about the safety distance of 2 metres and other safety instructions must be followed on campuses. University of Oulu strongly recommends the use of face masks on campuses and always if several people work and stay in the same space. Public events, general meetings, and private events cannot be held on campuses until further notice. This applies, for example, to public defences of doctoral thesis.
