Dear all, please remember that the performance evaluation round of the salary system is on, and should be completed by end of this month! The evaluation is due if five years have passed since the previous evaluation - HR should have sent to line managers a list of employees whose evaluation is due. Also the employee can ask for an evaluation if two years have passed since the previous evaluation. The call has two stages (preproposals and full proposals). Each consortium must be composed of at least three eligible partners that request funding from participating organisations from three different countries participating in the call. The deadline for pre-proposals is in November 2024, and the deadline for full proposals is 14 April 2022. Hei, There is some education strategic money still available to apply, with the following requirements: * the money must be spent on the following themes: internationalization of degree students, supporting teacher well-being and know-how, projects and events related to science education * the funding is only for the year 2025 Please send your suggestions to me by October 16th. I will summarize them for the education dean Saana-Maija Aho, who will send a joint application on behalf of the whole faculty. The good news is that we already got funding from the first round of education strategic money call! We will hire, for four years, a university teacher whose task is to act as a super tutor teacher and a coordinator of national biology teaching collaboration on digital teaching materials. Dear all, this is just a gentle reminder to those of you who would like some support with your applications for the Research Council of Finland's Winter Call. Please note there are some chances to the programme: Under Academy Camp, we will also cover the use of AI in applications and SARA online system step-by-step as well as offer Q&A for those last-minute questions you may have. Academy Camp Contents: Advice and support for writing the different sections of the applications. The Academy Camp sessions will be organized online and recorded to be viewed at any time afterwards. Sessions will last from one to two hours depending on amount of the topics and if there is discussion. Seminaarin teemana on sosiaalinen vastuullisuus ja johtaminen ja ohjelma sisältää paneelikeskusteluja, työpajoja korkeakoulujen vastuullisuustyöstä ja Unifin kestävyyden ja vastuullisuuden teesien seurannasta ja kehittämisestä sekä illallistilaisuuden. Keynote-puheenvuoron pitää aiemmin ympäristö- ja ilmastoministerinä toiminut Emma Kari Kari & Pantsar Co:sta. Suomen yliopistojen rehtorineuvosto, Unifi, on suomalaisten yliopistojen yhteinen ääni. Unifin tehtävänä on edistää yliopistojen välistä yhteistyötä, turvata yliopistojen menestymisen edellytykset sekä tuoda esiin niiden yhteisiä näkemyksiä ja kantoja tutkimus- ja koulutuspolitiikan sekä yliopistojen yhteiskunnallisen roolin kannalta keskeisissä kysymyksissä. The seminar will monitor the progress of Unifi's theses on sustainable development and responsibility, and encourage universities to take new measures to promote sustainability. The theme of the seminar is social responsibility and leadership and the programme includes panel discussions, workshops on sustainability and responsibility work in higher education institutions and the monitoring and development of Unifi's sustainability and responsibility theses, as well as a dinner event. The keynote speech will be given by Emma Kari from Kari & Pantsar Co., who previously served as Minister of the Environment and Climate Change. The Finnish Universities’ Rectors’ Council UNIFI ry is the common voice of Finnish universities. Unifi's mission is to promote cooperation between universities, secure the prerequisites for their success and promote their common views and positions on issues that are central to research and education policy and the role of universities in society. Unifi's members include all 13 universities in accordance with the Universities Act and the National Defence University. Finnish Universities’ Rectors’ Council was established in 1969.
